Monster Rally: Palm Reader EP

Highly recommended this is. The Palm Reader EP consists of a couple tracks from Monster Rally's forthcoming album. This is sample-based pop at its best, in my opinion: Think Flying Lotus, only a bit less complex or Madlib, only more exotic. The full-length album is out in September; his EP can be downloaded for free from Bandcamp right now:

Free download: Guards

Another great discovery via Bandcamp: 60's pop outfit Guards. Their EP can be downloaded for free, and there's even a song with Cults (talking about 60's pop perfection) on there. Download this slice of summer:

Nite Jewel: Falling Far

Nite Jewel has a new EP on the way in collaboration with members of Teen Inc, The Samps and Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti. Am I Real? will be out on vinyl August 16 via Gloriette, listen to the fantastic track Falling Far right here:

Pearl Harbour = Puro Instinct

The two girls of Pearl Harbour just changed their name to Puro Instinct. This dreampop duo's first release was recently reissued by Mexican Summer, after the first edition sold out some time ago. Puro Instict's new EP will be released in July by Gloriette. You can also get it digitally on Bandcamp, or listen below:

Free download: Teams - Catch Pool EP

Lend your ears to this one. Teams creates progressive and very contemporary electronic music, linking pleasant melodies to grand beats. Listen or download their Catch Pool EP via Bandcamp right here:

Download: Oberhofer - o0Oo0Oo

How To Dress Well

How To Dress Well is het alter ego van Tom Krell uit Keulen. "With each album, I was more and more convinced Kanye is a really serious artist. But I don't want How to Dress Well to be about me in the way that Kanye wants it to be about Kanye. For Kanye, music is a vehicle for personality and self-expression. But music allows me to depersonalize. It's a lot more about sound design than my personality. Kanye is really self-advancing. That's not what How to Dress Well is about-- it's more about delivering a feeling."

Laurel Halo - King Felix EP

Download: Arms

Download hier. Covertje:

Best of La Blogotheque (8): The Antlers - Shiva
